I took the liberty of dragging your image into photoshop to give it a bit of a stretch some extra data came out.

Congratulations Leo on image of the week, it's richly deserved. Your image is shows this galaxy really is odd as there is such a sudden and square limit to both the faint stars on the left and right hand sides. It's so square!

The best compliment I can make is that when I first saw this image, I thought it was from one of the new 16" or 20" DK's that are very popular. Was I shocked! Great image processing here!
