Solar images 20200606

Fun day spent in the solar dome playing with settings and barlows!

The seeing was generally ok, but images tended to break down with too much power. Hope everyone managed to capture something!

Jonathan,
Well done mate!
Great images well presented - much better than mine

Can you confirm which scopes/filters you used?

Thanks, it's been a long day and 60 gigs of data!

All taken with the ASI174 MM, but with scopes as follows:

White light is using a 2" Lunt Herschel wedge on a Tak FS102
Cak is using the Lunt Cak 1200 filter on a Lunt 102 ED
and the Ha was with a Lunt LS50THa - This one was single stacked as I find it much easier to get a better picture than with the double stack!

I use a 2" 4x Powermate for magnification or a 1.25 5x ED barlow for Ha.

My plan is to pick up a Quark to sit on one of the larger refractors, but that is waiting for a significant change in the USD exchange rate!

They are great images that compliment each other very nicely.
