Some images from last nights shadow transits on Jupiter. Seeing was ordinary as usual here on the coast.

Thanks for the comments, therefore encouragement. Not sure if it was just the seeing, it seems for the Jupiter video / image that the focus must be off a little and I managed to get better focus when moving over to Mars.
Getting excited about this years planet season but need to refine my set up to make the most of it. The last best chance for Mars, not sure if I'd even be alive for the next close opposition in 2033, I think.
Opposition will help you get more fps. I see you are only using 10% of your capture and getting 400 frames for Jupiter to use. The images are quite detailed but look photon starved. Could be due to cloud but also seems you have not enough frames. Perhaps that is also why the color seems a bit off and the Jupiter images look slightly over-sharpened if that is the reason for the blue edge.
Are you running 3 minute captures? You should be able to get away with that length of time for Jupiter without noticeable smearing (even if you use an Alt-Az setup). Or run several 2 minute captures and use Winjupos (a step up from what I do but you are clearly an accomplished imager).
I appreciate your feedback, the reason I only stack 10% of frames is that when reviewing the video the image is dancing around so much because of the less than ideal seeing. So much so that I didn't think that there would be enough good frames to stack a larger percentage. Also , my tired old computers struggle with large file sizes so I mostly limit my avis' to 4k / 5k frames rather than time in minutes. As for taking several videos and stacking in Winjupos, that is getting more complicated than I want to deal with.
However , I did reprocess one of the avis' and stacked a larger percentage of frames and did get a better result. As for the yellow caste, that is something I've been trying to remedy, will have to play with the camera settings in daylight to get the colour balance sorted out.
