Captured M20 on Sunday night in Sydney using my new OSC 2600MC Camera and decided not to use the ZWO Duoband filter to see what effect it has on the image
Sunday night was forecast to have strong winds but thankfully it was calm most of the night with light wind gusts
Ended up with just over 2 hours of data
6” f6 newt on an EQ6-R mount
ZWOASI2600MC ( no filter )
Ascom control Highest Dynamic Range (Gain 0)
85 x 90sec dithered guided subs
20 x darks
PHD2 guiding at 1 arc sec error total
Tracking and Goto EQMOD StellariumScope Stellarium
Frame focus and capture APT
Stacked in DSS
Processed in Startools V1.5 Linear OSC data set
If you keep up this quality of images you will have to be sent to the other imaging section down the bottom.
Impressive result from the new camera Martin, money well spent it would seem.
Thanks All
Appreciate the kinds comments
So far this camera has exceeded my expectations, particularly in the heavy light polluted skies of Sydney. Can’t wait to get back down to my dark site ( weekender) hopefully next week
Also this has been the longest spell of continuous clear nights all year and it is suppose be clear for the next 5 or 6 nights so a great time to test the camera out
I really enjoy chasing after the dimmer galaxies so I’ve got NGC 300 as one of priorities at my dark site
If anyone wants a recommendation for an OSC Camera then you won’t be disappointed in the 2600MC
Only one little disappointment, I joined the ZWO forum 2 weeks ago , received a reply email but they haven’t approved my application, still waiting , very poor support I must admit
Thanks All again
Hope your getting clear nights like I am at the moment
Cheers
