Edge HD 8 imaging setup

My Edge HD 8 is on its way, but having no experience with this sort of scope, which of the available reducers is best? I can see several, Celestron 0,7 there is the Optec Lepus at 0,62 and TS has a 0,67 as well.
Any advice appreciated.

Glen,
If all those reducers are designed specifically for the Edge HD optics then, either would work.
The fixed backfocus distance seems to be 105mm. http://www.celestron.com/browse-shop...-7x-edgehd-800
So you'll need to know the backfocus of the camera and work out a series of spacers.
I use an "on axis reflective guider" - a reflective slit plate on my C11 at f10 with a Lodestar camera. Similar to a "good" (I mean robust and rigid!) OAG set-up, works 110% for me.
Hope this helps.
(EDIT: I couldn't find the TS 0.67 version???)

The TS reducer is the "CCD47" which they claim is designed for Edge HDs and other flat field scopes. It is a 2" reducer and i think it would need a thread adaptor, but the Optec does as well. The TS CCD47 is much cheaper than either of the others, but i have no idea of the performance. I might try Astrobin to see if i can find images taken through it with an Edge HD.

Glen,
Hmmm that looks like a 2" filter thread adaptor - 85mm backfocus....
Doesn't look in the same league as the Celestron/ Optec reducers......
