Collimatiing Dobson

Hi Guys
Just wondering if anyone could give me a hand collimating a8inch dobson?
Im at Coomera Gold Coast and will comet o you ;tried every thing but its still out ill pay if needs be

What sort of problems are you having?

What tool are you using to collimate?

What makes you think the collimation is bad?


From what I understand most of the dobs are done the same way so this may be helpful.

I use a collimation cap. I had purchased a laser but did not liked how it worked so I sent it back.

Remember that the system was probably collimated at the factory. When you check it you should not be surprised if it appears to be right on the money.

Hi Ed
screw was loise on secondary mirror and i think its moved
Planets all blury when ocusing in and out and can see spider vains
Cheshire put carnt seem to get it righr

Can't help you with that. Have never had to do anything significant. I follow that video. That is about the limit of my experience.
