Just a Brit living in Darwin...

Hi all,

I moved to Darwin last October and thought it was time to see what Australian skies have to offer.

Currently just a casual viewer with a Skywatcher Heritage 90 for easy viewing and a TAL 2 for more serious nights. Tempted to upgrade to something larger in the near future.

All the best,

Dan

Hi Dan, welcome.

I'm also a Brit living in Darwin. I finally realized the Milky Way wasn't just a chocolate bar!

Gday Dan,

There's a few of us around Darwin. We did make noises a while ago about having a get together, but it didn't come off.
If others are interested I'd like to have another try.

Cheers Phil

Dan welcome mate .
I lived in Palmerston for 8 years and found the 2 seasons (wet and dry ) to be a pain and a God send , the dry is awesome , months of great skies but the wet ,,,, Well , months of clouds and monsoons and you guys are heading into the buildup . Great for storm chasing bad for astronomy.
Enjoy your time there as even though it is hot and humid it's a beautiful place.
Brian.
