GPS alignment failure

Last night was suppose to be my first night of taking some photos of the moon surface using my DSLR 400. I set the alignment up and was away, everything was fine. As I was a little early for the moon to arise I just went to Pluto and had a look and same with Saturn and Jupiter. I finally decided to try and get pics of Saturn as it was very clear, however the GPS dropped out. So I tried realign 4 times but each time it failed. Has anyone got an explanation why? I must add I used a bright star, the moon (as it was up by now) and Saturn to set the alignment again.

To align with Satan, you need to find a 5-pointed star...

Hi Garry,

What mount were you using? Generally most mounts require a two star alignment.

Cheers

Celestron Alt-Azimuth and I am using Star Align at the moment. Has failed only a few times but usually picks up on my next alignment ever since I have used it.
