Baader astro conversion

Hi all,

I'm wondering if getting the baader astro conversion done on my Canon 700d worth it?

Cheers

Hello,

I am not into astro, but have been looking at what I'd need. I'd suggest your better of saving for a full frame DSLR camera. Lots of advancements since 2013 as well.

Ps. But I suppose it depends if you can flood the sensor as well?
Pps. I've been using "https://www.digicamdb.com/compare/nikon_d610-vs-canon_eos-700d/", the D610 as a base line and checking what's $1000 or so on gumtree. Be a few good ones over the last 12months but I'm not ready to make the leap.

Why do you want to Astro mod it?
And if you do, maybe DIY if it's an older, not too valuable camera. I've done a 550 & 450D. Went well, but don't know how hard it is for your particular camera. I didn't bother with a replacement filter, just used a 2" uv/ir on the scope
