I'm giving away my old 6" newtonian to a good home. Originally purchased as part of a Meade LXD75 setup ~2005. Specs are D=152mm, FL=762mm, f/5.
Didn't really use it much and after I upgraded the focuser (removed for giveaway) I could never really get it to collimate well. Maybe it was my eyes, who knows.
Mirrors are visually ok. Tube condition is average:
- has a bigger hole cut in it to suit the aftermarket focuser and as such the standard unit doesn't bolt on all that securely
- there's a couple of extra holes for a finderscope foot
- I've rotated the secondary/spider vanes so there's extra holes there too.
Given away as-is with standard focuser and 1.25"/2"/T-mount adapters. Good for parts/tinkering.
Pickup/delivery from Withcott/Toowoomba area only please. Haven't got any foreseable Brisbane trips planned sorry.
