Skywatcher Black Diamond ED 120

Downsizing my considerable stock of astro gear due to loss of storage space has forced my hand in the sale of this wonderful telescope.

With an aperture of 120mm and short focal length of 900mm, this F7.5 scope is ideal for planetary and deep sky work.

I have enhanced its versatility and performance by attaching a Vixen style dovetail bar to the tube rings so that a small guide scope can easily be mounted atop the main scope.

I have also connected an electronic focuser to enable trouble free fine focus adjustments. (old focus knob kept and available).

Standard equipment is a straight through 9x50mm finder 'scope and a 2" dielectric diagonal.

There are a few small scuff marks on the scope body but the optics remain superb and in first class condition.

To cap it all off, the scope comes with its own tailor made aluminium case which I bought separately from the shop.

My price is $1650.00 with buyer to collect from Brisbane southside.

Are those stickers/decals or painted on?

Can you make a shot of the glass please. Also, do you have the original focuser knob that was removed? I am not a fan of electric focusers (would sell it, or if you'd drop the price a little).

Quite interested.

I got a reply quite quickly & 'the chunk' kindly agreed to checking out freighting it to me. The apology was for my not notifying everyone else that I had pm'ed him as seems to be the convention.

It is Easter of course so he may be out hunting bunnies ;-) .

Hi Lewis,
Yes I do have the focuser knob which I had always intended to include. I don't want the focuser and would not consider a price drop on the basis that it was not part of the deal. By all means sell it.

The butterflies are sticky backed decals which can easily be removed. A few cover minor scuff marks. I rather like them on the tube myself--being butterflies, they add levity.

I shall post a photo of the glass tomorrow. Rest assured it is in perfect condition.

Chunky
