Yes they are already pityful.
Still on the bright side goods generally are relatively cheap.
A friend on the pension said to me recently that things were good cause today you can buy a small generator, a note book and still have food money out of the fortnights payment.
He recalled times when either of those items would take 6 month to save up for.
The thing that affects me is the price of services, old age and a crook set of legs has me paying others to do things that I never once would have paid for...car service, cleaning gutters...installing solar panels only yesterday...the main reason I gave the boat away was instead of doing the annual anti foul myself, which is still expensive ($500 for paint and $1500 for the slip) I was faced with an additional $50 an hour labour.
Anyways I have no complaints we still are pretty well off in this country.
However once if you had a million capital you would live high on the hog now a million does not get much past the pension or the dole.
