Solar limb

Managed to a little h-alpha solar imagery last week using a newish focal extender.

The spickules on the limb are quite hard to capture...hence I'm reasonably pleased with the result.

Actually I's seen some amazing...albeit modded PST images, so don't give up on the little guy too soon.

Thanks Marc...yep I'm pottering about quite a bit more of late and am enjoying getting to do some more solar imaging.

Was really happy to get a gong for the CWAS/Malin's again for my solar work this year.

The sweet spot in my PST is towards the bottom right corner so I am not sure how conducive that is to imaging.
Plus, I would need to swap my ASI120 for a QHY5LII for the different form factor. My ASI because of its shape doesn't get close enough to focus.
