Going through a Alanis Morrisette phase at the moment, recently picked up her 2008 "Flavors of Entanglement" album to add to the collection. Intense and passionate singer/songwriter {and a babe too }. Excited too by the news Cat Stevens/Yusaf Isalm will be touring Australia in June, hoping I can get tickets for the Perth show.

The family is in bed so I can bring on the goodies

Schubert, impromptu D. 899 (the first one in c minor) - so simple yet so sublime, Mozart would have been proud…

Cheers
Steffen.

For some reason I don't have anything by Rodrigo. I guess I'm not so hugely into guitars - still, you've gotta have Rodrigo.

Searching the iTunes store now. Any good recording you'd recommend? I suppose Romero or Williams would be good soloists?

Cheers
Steffen.

Well the one I have is an old EMI CD
Ernesto Bitetti / Antonio Ros-Marba/ Philharmonia Orchestra

but yes, the Williams one would be a standout, I'd say.

Here's another one of my favourites:
Only Jeff Beck could pull a guitar version of this off though
