During our last SAS meeting, I got to try the clubs QHY8L (to test if it still functions ok). Having no access to goto and seriously lacking knowledge of the night sky, only target i could find under the full moon was Orion Nebula which incidentally was right next to the blinding full moon. Sufficed to say, the subs were sub-optimal and washed out. The image is heavily cropped to remove the gradient and the worst of the moonglow.
Thanks guys, I'm enjoying the simple set up that's (most of the time) hassle free compared to the dread of setting up the cable jungle of my main set up. Almost makes me want to sell everything else!
