Royal Greenwich

ROG rules required that I keep quiet until today’s press release...

https://www.rmg.co.uk/astrophoto

....really chuffed to be shortlisted at Royal Greenwich, given the thousands of entries from around the world...

but am blown away by how many Aussies are also in the hunt for the 2018 comp.

Must be something in the water

A truly different, engaging and beautiful image (love it) - good luck for the final judging.

Maaaate... Well done. Over 4000 entrants this year
hence a very tough gig to get even this far.

Hey guys, thanks, but don’t forget the other shortlisted entrants from Oz.

My entry caused me some greif, as after discussions with the Greenwich organisers, if it had done well at the CWAS/Malins, the subsequent press would have disqualified the entry at ROG, hence I had to withdraw it from the Malins
just to be sure there would be no cries of “foul”....sadly them’s the rules
Hopefully it was a good call.
