I did the Astrophotography path for 5 years and was glad to change over to the more enjoyable Mallincam Video 'Live' viewing and broadcasting, but it too still takes considerable setup time.

Nowhere near as much as CCD or DSLR imaging, but still a bit of frigging about.

The great thing with Video Astronomy is that it is like visual but the view is on a TV or PC monitor
and is growing in popularity quite fast.

But if you are feeling pretty tired and pushed for time after a day of Uni, and just want to have a quick fix, yeah, get a 10" dob and go purely visual.
It is quite relaxing
and easy to set up and pack up
