HEQ5 WiFi Adaptor

Hi, I have HEQ5 Pro mount, I'm considering buying wifi adaptor, does it worth investment and can you perform all mount control functions using it VS wired connection?
Thanks

Hi, it does pretty much what the handset does, with the added advantage of keeping the settings (time, location and alignment) even if you loose power to the mount.
Here is a link to the app download, it's free but you still need to buy the wifi adapter. Download the windows version and have look. The phone app is a cut down version and doesn't have all the features of the pc app.

I use EQMOD via a cable but you can wifi eqmod as well from your lappy
EQMOD with your planetarium is so much more accurate for Goto and tracking than the Syncan HC
Has anyone thought of wifi to motorised Az and Alt bolts on your mount for remote PA ?? Just a thought !

I have one that I use every now and then with my HEQ5 pro but I find that it occasionally drops out on my iPad. Annoyingly, I need to re-do star alignment again when this happens!
