I cant add darks in DSS

How do you add darks to DSO image in DSS? I took 40 "lights" of 30sec, then, as instructed in the literature, took 12 darks. Sharpcap did it and averaged the darks. Then I did Pipp and got about 36 .FIT files. These I then loaded into DSS along with the dark file, pressed the "Go" button (Register) and it came up with an error message saying it did not recognise the dark file. The dark file should have been subtracted from each light file, shouldn't it? DSS would not work unless I unchecked the dark file.
There must be some setting I was supposed to press but didn't. Anybody know what I did or didn't do?

Just add raw darks (with lights), no need for pipp.
DSS will automatically do the rest (produce Master dark.tif and stack)
