Has Daystar Quark just gotten waay cheaper?

I know, some mods may be needed, but would it really be that hard to attach the red part to another scope? That plus some work on the ERF setup perhaps?

The Quark used in this offering is not the same as the “normal” Quark.
It cannot be removed or used without being built-in to the telescope.

Hi Ken - obviously not endorsed by the producer, but would this be harder than a PST mod?

Mirko,
I would have to assume that the Quark element has temp controlled mica etalon and that somewhere inside the OTA they have mounted a x2 element..(this would bring the f15.5 objective to an acceptable f31)

I haven't seen any experimental mods on the solar forum(s), but nothing is impossible.
