Sorry for the slow response Darren.

Pelican's are great cases but not sure if they make a longish one suitable for a refractor.

Greg.

Hi Greg,

You may JUST be able to fit it in to this toolbox with some foam, depending on focuser/attachments...

I'm not fond of the orange wheels though. (paint them out)

Without starting a new thread. I have just bought a Celestron CPC9.25 and wanting to get a case for it. Tried Bunnings but they don't appear to have any cases large enough. I have emailed Image Alloy to get a price on a custom case but thought i would ask whats the general consensus for storing a large scope? Do you use a case or leave it standing in a corner somerwhere?
As you can probably tell, I'm new to the hobby of star gazing...

Thanks JA. I have one of those I do use for tools. Its pretty large and I will often be carting my scope in the back of the car with other stuff so don't want it to be too big.
The soft case it came with isn't bad so will persist with that for now. Case for the ED100 seems ideal and not too expensive.

Those cases on ebay for music gear seem to be very good if you found one close to the size you want.

thanks for all the assistance from everyone.

Greg

Hi Greg,
I fixed a dovetail clamp holder in the bottom of a Pelican case from Bunnings. Works great and it means I can keep my imaging rig together with no cutting of foam as I showed in this thread:
