My daughter loves to play Sky Rim and Assassins Creed. That all. Could anyone suggest a computer that is the best and what I could expect to pay. The computer allows mofs like more horses and if that makes her happy I will pay. What to do costs suggestions welcome.
I appologisr for raising this matyer here but if I dont hear it from a member of ice in space I give little credibility..it is a trust thing.
But I need help and know little of what to do Thank you alex

My son (14yo) plays both of these games on our PS3, seems to work well for him. He finished Skyrim a while ago but is now majorly into Assassin's Creed.

Cheers
Steffen.

Terrible games really heads roll on the floor killing very routine. She wants the computer cause you.can add mods..more horses dogs you get a caravan. It hurts to smile approve and encourage but encouragement is my way of showing support ..my beard grows for her ..she sees her views are taken seriously by a man who holds sway over so many others..in her view..I am a lamb.
Thanks for your input I really appreciate hearing another parent entertains these games as er normal
best wishes alex

my daughter has been playing computer games for many years now, apart from being a bit lazy now its not done her any harm (she is now 24).
computer wise, I would avoid laptops, get a decent desktop with a 24" flat screen monitor. a desktop can have the memory upgraded, the graphics card updated and even the motherboard can be upgraded. If you upgrade the desktop, then you can still use the monitor so a saving can be made on upgrading. a good amount of memory and a good graphics card are essential, as is a good connection with the internet.
hope that helps.

Thanks Peter every bit helps. I would like to see her build it from the box up. There is a chance I get out on the weekend and if so I am going to call upon a young man who I respect working in a computer shop in Casino I say he is a man I trust and respect. He called up home to fix that set up I would power from the rideon mower. remember those times..I do they were so good..astronomy daily meeting friends like you..remember the mount all the crazy ideas I would post... anyways I am hopeful that we could build one up from a case..Mainly to give her something she would be so proud of herself if she built it..And that achievement would be priceless.. even if it costs more thats what I want for her..She used to like pulling old electrical stuff apart old cd players etc so I see a possible interest and wa t to support her. She is very smart but still a child and still home schooled by her wonderful mother. So I would like to know what I can know from people here that I trust like you. You know me I need to trust someone and it is only then that I take it in..I dont have time to waste on fresh sites but referrals from folk here to a site is ok because of their endorsement.
I am so happy to be able to talk to you again. Did you get my PM re the champion flying cat I am never sure my message gets aeay this phone makes stuff confussing I will get a better system when I can say a 7 or 10 inch tablet. I have a lap top but never seem to use it..boat is getting better but man I could spend fifty grand in it to get a 25 grand boat but I love it..like a piolet cutter at10%the price best wishes alex do you keep in touch with any of the old team
sorry to ramble i got some pain and can not sleep sooooo good night mate

I need advice so I can talk to him and know what he is talking about. The more I know the better he can help and the less of his valuable time will I waste.

Alex, a few pointers to look at, solid state hard drives are fast - expensive, but fast, maybe fit one for the operating system and running software, then have a decent size conventional hard drive as file storage.
you will want a 64 bit operating system with as much fast memory as possible.
For a really good gaming machine you will probably need to spend nearly as much on the graphics card as the rest of the machine - a great CAD computer needs similar specs to a good gaming machine, we once spent £500 on graphics cards for our CAD machines (the difference between rendering at 20 frames per second and 50 frames per second).
nowadays a lot of large screen TV's can be used as computer monitors, but sometimes its worth getting a dedicated large screen monitor (I now use a 24" monitor at work for CAD).
you should be able to buy the components for a good game machine as a kit. Dont forget the power supply, if you are going to fit an expensive graphics card, the power supply needs to be able to handle it with capacity to spare (we fitted new graphics cards to machines, then blew the power supply just by plugging something into the usb socket).
Yes I did get your PM, I am looking at building a model of a wooden norfolk broads cruiser at the moment 1/12 scale 40" model, it will be a slow process as I dont get a lot of spare time.
I still remember that mount we designed, amazngly one of the local astronomy mount motorising companies locally took up the idea of using toothed drive belts to minimise backlash that we looked at (and this guy builds drive systems for professional mounts) like you I am glad that some of my ideas have worked their way into mainstream use.

also consider connecting the computer via a hard wired gigabit network (wired networks are faster than wireless ones generally.

Thats fantastic Peter very helpful. Great about mount. Like your boat plans maybe we could design the flying cat. Taking the record would be great I recon. I know I could it would be a big job but basically very simple. Currently they could reduce air drag much more and I hope you see the benefit of wing control for lift and horizontal control. We are now dealing with speeds sailors are not used to .they should not have wind in their face or wind in the rigging..no rigging as per green bird..which you must look at..as I said 125 mph.. why not that for a water vessel.. And what if it actually took off I mean 200 feet above water how cool. I think it could I have flown it in my imagination so I have handeledit up there... I bet it works the way I have it in my imagination.. A model I am thinking. I have designed it to build in thin ply and fiber glass but the real thing would have to be carbon fiber. The achievablelift than a small plane . .. Funny with cloud funding the net the contscts I recon I could do it from the bed here.. ought to just for fun. And it would make a couple of .million in add revenue one would think..maybe a new fad takes to multi million levels... wing area for 35 ft version would have more

cant edit but there was a sentence to effect...A 35 ft version would have lift of a small plane. Think of two sets of bi plane wings holding the pontoons with wings rather than sails for a ruff idea or vission

Alex, I build my own machines for gaming/simulations and I recently put one together for movies and media that will outstrip any other I have done. I found that AMD 64bit is way cheaper than Intel, both for boards and processors so used an ASRock motherboard with on board video which is plenty fast enough even compared to my previous dual video card machines using SLI, like the advice above I put in a SSD for the OS and 9TB of HDD storage, 8GB of matched gaming ram with ally cooling panels and a 650W power supply. Since modern boards have HDMI out for video and audio I like to use a LCD tv with fast response. 32" is a good gaming size for my flying and motor racing sims and by saving on not getting a separate video card you can get a decent tv as they are so cheap now. I bought everything on eBay but if you have someone you trust go with that.

Alex, if you are getting that much lift, you are getting into the realms of ground effect vehicles, I am sure I have corresponded with John (tiroch) on these in the past, the russians had some they flew over lakes.

He is fine, we tend to converse by emails nowadays, he posts me stuff he thinks I may have an opinion on, and I reply to those I do have an opinion for.
I loved the fact he made a kite from the flying ring. He too has had health issues but it doesnt stop him.
if you look here there is some footage of the russian ground effect planes.
