I didn't get a SINGLE glimpse of it in the "real sky".
PS: As I said, I watched it online from LA. The Sydney Observatory site says "The Sydney Observatory is currently experiencing cloud cover."

A77 on the Lunt and EQ6. (That way I could keep track of it when it was hiding ) Got some sucker hole shots in the early part, and a few with a bright edge. Then 100% clouds. So switched to 10 second exposures @ 800 ISO and waited for some hazy spots. Got some very orangey coloured pix and a few as it starts to brighten up again but now it is 120% clouds, 2 decks deep !!
I'll sort them tomorrow, it's after midnight here.

Got some apparently good shots with my tripod-mounted Sony NEX with the 55mm lens at f/5.6. Will have to see how it comes out in processing...
