Comet C/2012 K1 PanSTARRS and globular cluster NGC1261

Hi all, there's a conjunction of comet C/2012 K1 PanSTARRS and globular cluster NGC1261 in Horologium tonight. Separation is about 1 degree. Might make for an interesting photo opportunity if anyone is interested.

Did catch this one last night. Not with the camera but with the eyes. Beautiful clear night here in Perth. A little hard to find at first but definitely there. Will follow this one as it crosses the sky when possible. S&T has it fading as the month roles on.

Glad you caught it. It will be fading now as it recedes from Earth and Sun.
