Comparing Nikons D5300, D5500, D5600

If your interested, here is a comparison chart on key sensor and performance metrics for the D5300, the D5500, and D5600.

http://www.photonstophotos.net/Chart...kon%20D5600_14

There is a significant difference in price, but clearly, from the chart, the D5300 seems to be the best value for AP seeing as how the metrics are so close, and it leads tge D5600 with a slightly higher QE and superior low light performance.

There's practically nothing in it, I'd imagine they're the same sensor with different downstream electronics.

It all comes down to availability

I bought the 5600 because other family members like the touchscreen and connectivity, otherwise one may as well buy the cheapest available model.
