Storm Clouds over Clarence Town

Hi All,

Stormy skies over Clarence Town. Last week it was smoke and fire bombers; now water from heaven!

Hi Derek
I believe they are called mammatus clouds that droop out from beneath anvil head storm clouds. Uncommon but eery.

Thanks, Bob. We've actually seen a few of these in recent times.

Very eerie and intimidating cloud formation. It was probably visible from my place but I'm so enclosed by trees and buildings that I see very little.

Any accessible spots in your area to image with my newly finished set-up. Preferably away from passing traffic (lights and dust) and not frequented by the local louts?
