Saturn 15.9.19

SPX350 F17.5, ASI290, Baader RGB filters.

Over the weekend seeing in Brisbane improved somewhat from the bubbling syrup skies we have been getting. Thursday was fair seeing but Sunday showed fair with occasional good seeing amongst a strong variability which carried on throughout the night settling somewhat seen with my yet unprocessed Neptune and Uranus attempts. Looks like seeing will return to terrible.

Red shows clear detail of small white mark moving in GIF. Saturns Hex pole came out clearly, usually this feature is less contrasty.

Regards, John.

Great result John, you had a lot more patience than I did! i was disgusted (a strong word, but true to my feelings) at what I saw despite the forecast and what appeared on my screen - 11/9 was superior seeing (relatively speaking).

so well done for getting what you did!

John, I'm always amazed at what you can do with the aperture. The polar region is so beautifully clear and detailed, I can hardly believe it's an amateur photo.
