Registax Query

Hi all
I am trying to use Registax v5 and v6 to process a converted MOV file taken with a DSLR. I have used 3 programs to convert the MOV file to AVI using many different parameters, but Registax will not load the file.

It shouldnt be a codec problem - if the converted file plays in WMP, Registax should open it.

any thoughts?
thanks
Martin

For those who may have encountered the same problem, I got round it by purchasing Quicktime Pro 7, which allows MOV conversion to AVI, retaining the HD parameters, and which is recognised by Registax.

Failing that, I can also generate a frame by frame breakdown of the MOV file for loading into Registax - its the same thing really.

StreamClip is also a great free conversion utility. Not sure whether it would solve the problem in this case..

No doubt 'old technology' now Martin, but I used to use Bink & smacker for my conversions a few years ago. Sounds like you have it sorted with Quicktime pro 7 though.
