Admitting Defeat: Mars & Venus

Managed a great non-observation of today's Venus-Mars conjunction, 3 degrees from the Sun, in nice blue skies. Method was the same as employed for othere Venus observations (FS60 and EP projection using Nagler and Vixen HR eyepieces), but Mars was a no-show. Unobservable to me. Zilch. Nada.

Wide view is centered on where Mars should be (Venus is the dot below and right of centre). The other one is a processed view of Venus, well worth a look at 3° elongation and still nearly 100% illuminated. 2mm Vixen HR pushing the little 60mm hard at at nearly 180x) Still a lot of fun.
