Great link Phil. Thanks.
Are you happy with them, are they reliable?

Just to compare I was quoted a price on the Sandisk Extreme III CF card 1GB for $140 at JB Hi-Fi and I noticed centre.net.au have it for Approx $137.
Pretty Good.

Their tripod prices are good too IMO.

I was after a tripod, monopod and ball head a while ago and the best prices I got were from the USA including freight costs. That was for Bogen/Manfrotto gear which is quite good quality. I ended up buying from www.bhphotovideo.com, it may be worthwhile checking out.

I just checked the prices for the Manfrotto 486RC2 Compact Ball Head I bought and it's still cheaper from the US including freight.

Hi Mike, I am going to suggest a simple 'bubble level' if all else fails, + it's cheaper. Can be stuck on top of camera, (or to level the tripod head before attaching the camera), with small bit of blue tack. Great for adjusting the tripod legs for panning as well.

Mike two places I would check in Australia first:-

Online:-
http://www.camerastore.com.au/ProSho...od+Heads_1.htm

Touchy/Feely Shop: -
My favourite "photographic candy store" G&V Imaging (400 George St Sydney ) who are very competative on price and carry a good/huge range in stock.
I got my MF486 compact ball head from there same price as online store above.
Their website is a bit average - no prices and only shows consumer items, dont let the website put you off.

Back on topic again, is it possible that my viewfinder is "off"?

Yesterday afternoon, taking some more shots, I made a concerted effort to compose the shot that it's level in the FOV.. I was hand holding this time, no tripod. And while taking the shot, they looked level to me.

But this morning going through them, yet again a lot of them are "off" level.

Is it even possible for the viewfinder to be tilted? And if so, how do I fix it?

I'll do an experiment tonight to confirm, by taking a photo of something known to be level, and line it up with the focus points viewfinder, and then see how the image turns out.

It still could be human error (ie: me!).. maybe i'm just not good at judging "level".. I know my wife always has to re-adjust a photo frame on the wall after I reckon it's level
