Skywatcher AZ-EQ5 and the Skyx

I purchased this little mount a couple of years and it has given much good service as a portable setup. However, I have NEVER been able to run it through TSX. It just won't connect. I have tried every possible cable setup including the dongle way and direct to mount way.

Direct to mount connection gives me a definite COM port connection in device manager. The manual recommended dongle way gives me "Other Devices>USB2.0-Ser!".

Using either of the above - telescope as Ascom mount, TSX stops responding; telescope as correct Skywatcher model, I get either error 201 or 206.

I have downloaded the correct drivers as far as I know. Also, I have no trouble at all connecting to my PMX. Pic of manual recommended connection attached.

Seeking the wisdom of ages please.

Resolved by installing Eqmod and running it as administrator in the background and the hand paddle set to pc direct mode.
