I've uploaded an image of Carina, 30 subs, no calibration frames and minimal processing. I have to say that I am pretty impressed in the camera. The extra detail is immediately obvious.

Are you using the Ascom driver for the camera as its recommended by ZWO and APT
The native driver can give issues wth settings etc...
The Ascom driver also allows you to adjust your gain and offset if you wish under the Manual driver setting
3 Ascom settings are
Lowest read noise Gain 100
Highest Dynamic Range Gain 0
Manual
APT works perfectly with the Ascom Driver asking as you set APT for Ascom
Cheers

Adding or removing a filter between scope and camera will move your focus point by about a third of the thickness of the filter glass. Add a filter and you need to rack the focuser out slightly, likewise, remove one and you need to rack in.

Martin,
I am.. with the benefit of some sleep I think pretty well all my issues are related to failing to auto stretch the images in APT. With the DSLR there was always enough of a picture to work these things out. Once I made APT do that, it was pretty straightforward. Without it, the images are just black.
