Hi all,
Finally finished working on these high power views of Neptune and Uranus from mid November. Taken at F40 with the ASI MC colour imager in visible light. Extensive processing sequence including AS!2 debayering and drizzle stacking, Registax RGB alignment, AstraImage Gamma adjustment and deconvolution, WinJupos de-rotation and final composition in Photoshop. Context maps courtesy of Starry Night Pro.
For Neptune the source 42 minute avi was split into three recording segments prior to stacking and de-rotation, Uranus was a 40 minute capture divided into four clips. 4 sec exposure on Neptune, 2 sec on Uranus. Total of 101 best frames used for Neptune, 327 for Uranus ( >75% quality ).
The night had some high cloud around but the seeing was generally good over the two hour imaging period (9.30pm - 11.30pm LT). Despite heavy processing not much detail is discernible in these photos, they are however the best I can do with my current gear
