Sun October 2nd

Had a bit of a first time play with the double stack on the Solar disc. Still trying to pick the colour of the Sun disc I like best.

Thanks for looking.

Nice work again Peter, pity there isn't a bit more action at the moment, but that will come with time.
As far as colour, I try and keep the colour close to how I perceive it in the eyepiece but I'm also using a colour camera which means I don't need to change much.

Had a bit of a play with imppg and I think there is more detail there? 2 hours at the scope and 4 hours at the keyboard...

Hi Gerard,

It's a Lunt 60mm and a ZWO174MM. I used a 2 x Edmond Scientific extender. Really want to replace the Edmond with a 2.5X Powermate.
First time I have used the double stack and extender so a bit of playing to be done, but geez I'm having some fun.

Thank you Jeff.
Interesting, try keeping to what is seen in the eyepiece. So with the Ha scope it is more red maybe I need to do that. My thought was to go more yellow/orange but staying with the red of the Ha makes sense. Interesting article here also http://solar-center.stanford.edu/SID.../GreenSun.html
