I am drastically downsizing and am offering this Meade 2080 8" SCT with high transmission coatings. It comes with field tripod and equatorial wedge. I replaced the original 240vac drive base with one from an LX10 that uses a 9v battery (which lasts many hours). Also completely rebuilt the tripod spreader bar - it is now the most rigid and easiest to erect tripod I have ever used.
It is in excellent condition optically and mechanically. Cosmetically both the mount and OTA in amazing condition, almost showroom, and the quality of the optics is very good.
Comes with the original Meade visual back, diagonal and finder.
