Dsi rc10c

If any has one of these, could you do a quick test for me please? If I pull gently on the focuser end cap, the one with the DSI logo, model and serial numbers, mine moves back and forth about a millimetre (along the optical axis) and I'm not sure if this is normal or if I have a lot of focuser backlash. If the latter, some idea of how to fix would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Charles

Hi Charles,

David Trappett (username DavidTrap) has a RC10C. He'll probably respond to the thread if he sees it, but you could PM him otherwise.

Cheers,
Rick.

Had a few minutes spare so did it now before I forgot.

Yes, mine wiggles in and out about a millimetre.

Haven't used that scope for a while, but don't recall any major problems with backlash and it seemed to focus well with focusmax last time I used it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Rick.

Thanks David, I had hoped that was going to be the case.
