Better solution - use a big spherical mirror, and a smaller lens or two to correct spherical aberration.

Nano tech is so cool. Amazing the things they come up with. I saw this self healing membrane on FB that lets big particulates through but block smaller ones. Like Gore-Tex on steroids. Crazy stuff.
