QHY550 Polarised Camera

I have been trying to understand how this new camera would be good for astrophotography.
Does it mean that shooting nebulas will come out rainbow coloured?

Normal and polarised samples attached.

Richard Crisp did some imaging with polarising filters that I thought was pretty cool...

It seems like a camera that might be designed for fluorscence microscopy?

Just had a look at the official link for the camera.

http://www.qhyccd.com/index.php?m=co...catid=94&id=51

It says it gives a new look of the nebula structure, its good for displaying solar flares and the structure of sunspots.

It's also used for finding hairline scratches for industrial purposes, as well as gemstone and biology imaging.

Thanks for that link Rick, I just had a quick read of his .pdf describing what can be achieved with polarising filters.
As you say looks pretty cool, a rainbow version of the M1 Crab nebula.
