My Moon Images

Okay I know to most these will not be all that exciting to view but hey I thought I would put them up anyway.

The single moon image is a single exposure using a Canon 1D mk4 combined with a Canon 300mm f2.8 lens and a Canon 2x Teleconverter. These date back to 2010 and taken out in the front yard of my house in Alice Springs.

The second image is a combination of four single exposures taken during a partial lunar eclipse in 2010 with the same setup.

Hi Mav,

I think your images are awesome, loved the eclipse sequence. Good job.

Lets be honest, the Hubble is taking images better than anyone on IIS can take, but that's not really the point is it? Bigger telescopes with expensive cameras will take bigger better quality images than my humble gear... but the satisfaction of taking your own pics is very rewarding.

I actually enjoy seeing phone pics down eyepieces (taken a few of them myself), to the amazing long exposure DSO's that people are posting here.

In any case, thanks for sharing.

Justin

Thanks Justin, I agree with you that the point of this hobby/obsession is just to get out and do something interesting and find some enjoyment that you can share with others.
