Calling ED127 Owners!

Looking to replace my focuser soon and want to know what the connection type is for the focuser. I wasn't quite sure if I can use the explore scientific specs as I've heard their newer models are different to say my North Group model which is almost a decade old.

Tony,

I am looking at doing the same thing myself and am also looking for some guidance in doing this. I have a 2012 NG ED127 CF. I want to replace and motorize the focuser. I have seen some satisfactory reports on the Explore Scientific APO EDT Series Rack & Pinion Focuser. The problem is that I am unsure how to attach the focuser to my ED127.

It appears that the flanges for the latter model Explore Scientific CF and AL ED127's have been changed.

Of course one could always purchase a moonlite or feather touch focuser.

I will be interested to hear the direction you take.

Cheers

Rob
