Continuing my exploration of LRGB from the burbs and minimal LRGB processing. I used various length exposures to see if this would help keep the stars in check. No idea if this actually worked but happy with the result in the end. Rather than a wonderful Octopus or the toes of the Lagoon I felt more like this was a example of a kind of cosmic calligraphy on both the large and small scale. I've cropped it a little to focus on the more interesting bits and keep my dodgy tilted stars out of most of the frame.
Thanks Rodney and Marc. The higher ground ay? I can’t help but think that’s a Star Wars reference, in which case I don’t mind being old Ben, but more the crazy old(ish) man version.
Thanks Lee and Andy. Yeah, I think the background is a little affected by some adverse colour (had a bit of lingering green so removing it left it a little uneven perhaps). I find it a bit hard to tell with the density of things what should be there but a bit of remedial study might help!
