Hi Greg,
that's a great image - right up there with the high end of those posted here.
I would have been tempted to use Photoshop and do a localised
adjustment at the center 1/4 area of the galaxy to increase contrast
and sharpen slightly using a blurred layer mask.

lovely M83 Greg - particularly like the colour and image scale.

really making me miss imaging deep sky and galaxies! (been waiting an eternity for a part from PP to arrive

Thanks Russ. I know what you mean. You can image only so many nebulas before you have to image a couple of nice galaxies.
