Jupiter 15 September 2020 1113UT

I got some quite decent seeing tonight somewhere around 7.5-8/10 on the Pickering scale. Transparency was down a little though.

There is some interesting stuff going on in the NTB and the NEB. Europa can be seen in the middle of the NEB on the right of the image.

The image is a derotated series of images over 12 minutes.

Hope you enjoy the image.

Nice one. Yes I thought there was some incredibly good seeing around tonight, haven't heard of the Pickering scale though. Little bit patchy, but at times it was really good. It's gone now though.

A mighty fine image of Jupiter, lots of detail of the turbulence in the NEB etc, nicely processed as well.
Was a pleasant change to get some decent seeing tonight

A full detail of Jupiter! An aperture, a good seeing, a collimation, a cooled scope..

Looks great. Love the details and colours.
I was out at the same time and shot some colour too. Good reference for my processing.

Nick. Probably the best seeing of this apparition for me, and still a long way off the best I saw in 2008 when it was like just watching it just sit there without any in or out of focus. Still beggars can't be choosers and I am happy to have got some decent seeing again.
