Venus - Jupiter conjunction

Have just managed an excellent and clear observation at 10 .15am of this conjunction. Whilst the actual conjunction is close to midday, cloud is forecast for then, so I grabbed the oppotunity whilst there were good gaps in the clouds.
Venus was a truely bright gem with Jupiter a faint but distinct disc hovering 5-10' away. Closest approach is about 4' around midday. Best views were at 40X using my ED103S refractor.

Cheers

Steve
