Wavy, by the time fuel becomes that expensive, propellor aircraft[ like road vehicles] will be electric, and long range airliners will be powered by other non fossil fuels, and maybe use liquid/chemical rockets which can be controlled, unlike solid fuel ones which are on or off. Rolls Royce already have an
attractive looking prototype twin motor electric prop plane.
