Asside you guys are taking the xxxx,I swear our dog last two days has snaped one off aligned north / south ,,, guessing pics would likely be a TOs issue ?

If your dog is not lining up he needs more iron in his diet.
I saw a show making a similar line up claim for cows but I have not taken the time to check.

Magnetite has been shown to present in the brains of birds, and they rely on magnetic navigation. So Alex, your onto something there. Certainly cows would ingest a certain amount of dirt over time.

Their udders have been known to align with the four cardinal points of the compass at times.
