Proms from the 13th April

Ended up with the ASI 174.
This is the 100mm PST mod with Baader x2.25 barlow.
Seeing was terrible but at least we got a result.

This image was produced from one 7 sec SER video. It was a 2Gb file with 900 frames.
AS3! selected the best 20% for stacking.....

I have a separate video with longer exposures for the proms; just processing now.

Here's a version with the proms exposed 850Mb SER, 360 frames in 11 sec; best 20%
Not sure it really adds much......

#2 is with a change of colouring method and #3 the "original" prom image from Registax.

What do you think??

Keep the 3rd one, the first two are a tad overblown (lost detail in the prom), plus the B&W against the color looks cool.. . Your first post had the subtle details I look for in a colorized solar image. I don't really like the ones that look HDR-ish or are over-exposed.

Thanks for the feedback...
That's interesting as the very first image in this thread was stretched to show the proms from the single SER/ AS3! image whereas the last three where combination of a surface image and a longer exposure to get the proms.
