[NOT REQUIRED] SYD: someone to clean SCT optics

Hi,

I have a LX200-ACF 10", I bought it used, I have never cleaned it since I've had it, purchased in 2012.

I was giving it an exam today, I can see a couple of fungus spots on the inside of the corrector plate glass and when I shine a torch in, I can see what looks like streaking on the mirror.

But I'm not sure I have the guts to do it.

Anyone know of anyone in Sydney that could give it a clean for me?

It is not that difficult to clean. The fungus spots should be dealt with because these can spread across the optics. Cleaning the corrector is the easier than the mirror. Some minor streaks on the mirror will not affect your viewing. Most likely some dew drops made there way inside the tube and fell on the mirror. If you are not game to try the task speak with Bintel
