Here be (more) dragons........

Hello all
Being very original ( ) I thought I would have a go at NGC 6188.

Astrobin link http://astrob.in/304381/0/

Acquisition details
18x600 Ha
36x600 S2
36x600 O3

Taken with a QHY9 mono, Baader filters on a Sharpstar 65 Quad.
Captured with SGP and processed in CS6.

Obvious tilt? problems in the top left corner but pretty happy with it. I am slowly getting the hang of this narrowband processing but would appreciate comments and criticism please.

thanks for your time
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy, your image shows good depth and has a nice 3D feel.
However although colour is highly subjective, I try to stay away from traditional HST green dominated or Borg-like Yellow/green palettes.
(Resistance is Futile?)
A subjective colour layer in PS can yield surprisingly more pleasing results, and it's well worth having a play.
Nce work

Looks pretty good, Jeremy. I'd agree with Andy that less green would be an improvement.

To me Jeremy, this image looks like a big gas cloud, as it should! You have delineated the three wavelengths and ordered them well and your star colours match nicely too...all makes sense for a wavelength ordered emission line image, very important . The colour "choices" are just that...this would make a nice print on a wall...near matching curtains

More dragons....

Mike

Thanks all for the comment and suggestions.
I keep trying with the colours to get that hubble look but I do quite like the way this one turned out.
Practice, practice, practice!
Thank you
Jeremy
