DMK31 is here!

Hi all

I have been using a DMK21 for some time and recently picked up the DMK31 - yeah. I image mainly the Moon and Sun and am looking forward to the larger field of view. One thing that really excites me is I will be able to take images of the entire disc of the Sun through my Solarmax 40 now - disc animations here I come.....I hope!

This post is not overly Earth shattering but I am quiet excited.

Good one Matt.

I just received my new DMK41. I'm looking forward to full disc solar images and larger lunar shots too.

Hey Al
I almost went for the 41 but I compromised for frame rates. I hope Sunday is Sun day!

Good on you ... it's always exciting to have a new astro toy

Being able to fit the whole solar disk would be great.

That’s exciting news Matt! I picked up a Firewire DMK31AF04 from BinTel at last year’s Qld astrofest for a very nice price and it has been fabulous to use on the Moon.

Be prepared to spend money upgrading your PC so Registax can cope with all the processing that now lies in your future!

Cheers

Dennis

I had the 21 series for quite a while, and recently picked up a 41 as well. I've found that the 41 is very nice, but that I'll be keeping the 21 for when I need the higher frame rate. The moon is great on the larger chip, though.

I'm currently working on some time stamping frame capture software using the IS Imaging Control SDK, stay tuned
